NERF WAR IS ON!

LOOK AT WHAT MY DAD GOT ME! It's the Vulcan EBF-25 that I always wanted. Just like a machine gun.You can put batteries in it so you don't have to pull the handle back every time. It also has a stand and includes 25 bullets. It go's really far when you put the batteries in. Almost like the real thing! ( what I see on the movies that is). My cool dad also got us 4 boxes of ammo bullets so we have enough bullets to last for a while when we take on my mum and sister again. I hope I get the NERF BARREL BREAK IX-2 next time. Its a double barrel shot gun! Thanks dad. I love you.

Championship Soapbox derby

On April 7th Puwhai, Ana, my dad, Mr Jacobson, Mrs Jacobson, Stevenson and his mum and family and my mum and sisters and I went to the championships for soapbox derby at whangaparoa and my dad joined the pit crew!!. He helped Mr J fix some missing screws on our kart luckily he knows all about cars because thats his favourite hobby. CARS!
I hoped that we would make it so we could go to America. Did you know once you lose a race you leave straight away!

When we got there we still had another hour to go because our first race was at 9:00am. We enjoyed having our photos taken and enjoyed watching the parade and Stevenson and Mr J was in it! My pit crew was only the three girls again ( Ana, Puwai and myself )but we knew what to do so we were prepared. There were so many teams and some teams had more then one kart! The day was going to be hot again and everyone was ready for a good day.

As we were waiting we watched the first cars race down It was a really long steep and curvy hill. After the three races it was our turn we also got a ride up and it was fun. When we got to the top we weighed the car. Then we set it up, polishing it and making sure Stevenson was ok for his race. Stevenson was all set for his turn and off he went. On the mic we heard the guy say "Stevenson nearly had a little accident but he managed to save it". We were all worried and hope he made it down safely. When we went back to the pits we won buy 0.22 seconds it was that close. Stevenson nearly crashed into the barriers but he was still the fastest time and he was ok.

On the second race on our way up in the van Mr jacobson looked like he was going to fall out luckily he didn't. When our driver Stevenson went down he lost but its not about who won its about the fastest time so we had 20% chance that we made it through to next round. We waited patiently for the results but once it came back we didnt make it through. So we all decided to pack up everything and go home. We were all gutted but at least we made it that far and worked together but I really wanted to go to America. Maybe next year I'll go because I'll be the driver, fingers x!

Thank you Mr J and Mrs J for a great day and a wonderful experience being part of the soap box derby. Mr J has an American Indian call he always likes to do so with that, PES ROCKS! (Indian call).

OKAHU BAY EASTER EGG HUNT.

On Easter friday my family and I went to Okahu Bay because there was an easter egg hunt and I saw Stevenson, Shane and Faith there.

We had to do something to get a easter egg like hop like a bunny. I had to do ten star jumps to get one from the lady. But some times you just grab it out of the basket I liked to just grab it. There were all sorts of games like sack race, jumping in the bounce castle and touch. I didn't want to do any of them because I was to buzy collecting eggs.

Then it came down to the 1000 egg hunt. When the guy said "go"  my little sister and I ran as fast as we could but my little sister kept falling, it was funny. As soon as we got there, there were no more eggs because we were too slow. All the eggs were hidden in the trees. It was the worst Easter egg hunt ever!!!

On this day my sister and I collected 33 eggs now thats a pretty good effort.

Easter egg hunt!

On easter Sunday my Aunty set up an easter egg hunt for my sisters, my cousins and I. I had trouble with my first clue but I still made it in the end. There weren't just eggs there were lollies too. The little ones had to look for pictures for there clues. We all received little easter bags and my first clue was in it. We had to find six clues in total.

As I was looking for my first clue I asked my aunty to help and the clue said "find your first clue underneath the stairs. The colour of the stair rhymes with crown" My aunty said "brown" look under the stairs outside. I saw it finally! I said as I was reading the second clue. The second clue said "Find the cupboard that holds shiny silver things you use to cook food in".

So I ran straight into the kitchen to look, my third clue was in the cupboard next to the oven, yay more lollies! As I was opening the bag I chucked my lollies into my easter bag and read my third clue. It said "A tree in the front of the the house. The tree that grows golden fruit". I clicked and said the peach tree! so I set off running to find my lollies. When  I got my fourth clue it said "I'm right next to the front door. A white square box on a wall. I always keep my meter running". The meter box! I couldn't reach it so my dad got it down for me.

The fith clue said "I am a cold place. I hold food and drinks. I have a big glass door. find me at the back of the house. there you will find your last clue".The fridge! This clue was really easy because it was the only fridge my grandparents had that was outside. So I ran down stairs and there it was. I finally finshed. The last and final clue said "CONGRATULATIONS!! YOU HAVE COMPLETED YOUR MISSION. ASSEMBLE IN THE SITTING ROOM TO AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS". When I got to the sitting room I was the last one but it wasn't a race my aunty said.

We each received a present for our efforts and that was a chocolate Easter bunny and the little babys like Kensi and Evan received a toy bunny and a chocolate for being cute. After our prizes we had a Easter egg scramble and my mum was the one scrambling them. I had to answer one question to receive my egg and it was "name all the colours of the rainbow" so I did and for my prize I got few chocolate eggs.  My mum decided to scramble it all and a few hit my head but it didn't hurt.  When all the fun had finished my family and i had a lovely Easter lunch. There was steak, corn and meat patties, sausages, prawns, potatoe salad, crab meat salad and all so yummy!

I had a great time and I hope we have another Easter egg hunt next year. Maybe we will get bigger and more easter eggs!
