Give three examples of each state of matter?
Solid
Liquid
Gas
Ice
Water
Helium
Wood
Fizzy
Oxygen
Rock
Coffee
Hydrogen
What’s the difference between the three states of matter?
Solids
Liquids
Gases
The particles in a solid are close together and arranged in a regular way.
The particles in liquid are close together and arranged in a random way.
The particles in gases are far apart and arranged in a random way letting them flow anywhere.
Write 3 sentences explaining something new you learned from this reading.
I have learnt that everything is made out of matter. I know this because matter is something that has weight, and takes up space. Now I know that even I am made of matter because I have weight and I take up space.
I have also learnt water can be any state of matter. Water has a cycle called hydro logical cycle or the H2O cycle. This is where water can evaporate and rise to the clouds which is called condensation and when the clouds get packed it then forms rain and then precipitation which is when the water falls back to the floor and it all starts over again.
